How did you and your spouse meet?
I went to my friend’s engagement party here in Dubai. Hussein saw me and asked her cousin to introduce us. And that’s how our story started, some time later we were getting married.
When was the wedding held and where?
Our Wedding was the 11th of April 2014, so the weather was perfect. We choose to get married in the JW Marriot Marquis Hotel because we both loved the ballroom. It was for sure the most beautiful ballroom I have ever seen.
What is the biggest advice you can give any bride -to-be?
I would like to tell every bride-to be to not stress so much. I know it’s hard but at the end of the day it’s all about living in the moment. Specially, during this day, time goes so fast. So enjoy your wedding day to the maximum and have fun.
What about an advice for the groom?
Fort he groom the best advice that I could give him is to agree with everything and avoid making any trouble.
What should every bride know when planning for her wedding?
It’s a difficult journey, specially here in Dubai. The variety of options is very wide and as a bride you can get confuse with all this options. It can get very complicated, so it’s important to focus on what you really want and not what other people thinks.
What was the theme or colour scheme you picked for your wedding?
I wanted an all white wedding and I added just a touch of silver. I wanted to create a peaceful and magical atmosphere. Our wedding was decorated with white orchids and candles, it looked so beautiful. We also had our names logos in a big screen.
Do you recommend specific suppliers you worked with?
Everything was perfect, especially regarding the photography. We were lucky to work with great photographers. Also our wedding video looked amazing and professional. I was more that happy with the result and with the Blue Eye Picture team.
What was the most difficult and stressful part of wedding planning?
Picking the right wedding planer, there is such a wide variety and everybody haves so many ideas, so choosing was very hard for me because they all have similar ideas but as a bride you never know who is really going to be the best.
Did you face any surprises?
Oh yes, the chair that my husband and I were supposed to sit in was way to small, we didn’t fit properly. So in the last minute we needed to get a new sofa. Luckily my brother came to the rescue and took care of the situation and got a new sofa for us.
Who designed your dress?
My dress was custume made by a great designer Raeda Foudeh in Sharjha. I liked to be part of the dress making process and picked by myself the fabric and design. Rola Baghdadi did my make up and I was very happy with the results. The whole experience was so nice; I wish I could go back in time and live it again.
